ABT BrakeSAFE Wheel End Brakes offer a fail-safe solution for vehicle control and safety. With a Spring Applied Hydraulic Release (SAHR) mechanism and optional interlocks, the integrated Park and Service Brake system is triggered immediately by pressing the E-Stop button, turning off the engine key, or opening a vehicle door. This innovative technology not only eliminates the risk of unintended vehicle movement but also ensures unparalleled safety for operators and site personnel.
HOW IT WORKS
The BrakeSAFE System works by extending the brake caliper to enclose the disc, forming a split housing. The inner housing is mounted to the axle end, and after installing the pads, disc, and hub, the outer housing completes the assembly.
UNDERGROUND MINING
Advanced Braking Technology (ABT) is a world-leading innovator of sealed braking solutions for light vehicles. These vehicles, such as the Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser, play a vital role in mining operations due to their reliability, off-road capability, versatility, and efficiency. Their adaptability and dependability have led to widespread use across diverse mining sites globally.
Recognizing the demanding nature of mining environments, the need for a robust and effective brake system becomes indispensable for ensuring the safety and reliability of light vehicles. This is precisely where ABT BrakeSAFE Wheel End Brakes excel. These brakes are constructed with a safety-centric design for a remarkably low wear rate and a fully enclosed, oil-filled housing. This innovative solution reshapes safety and efficiency in mining operations.
COMPLIANCE WITH MINE USE STANDARDS
ABT ensures we meet the requirements for Australian and International standards for both on-road and mine applications:
